Ending October with two of my favorite Halloween-themed movies ever. We’ll be watching Trick’r’Treat, the 2007 anthology film made of five spooky, intertwining tales. It’s such a fun movie to watch and if I had to pick ONE Halloween movie to watch in October, this would be it. After Trick’r’Treat, we’ll watch Halloween III: Season of the Witch. Halloween III received mixed reviews when it was released in 1982 because it does not feature Michael Myers. A lot of fans and critics were disappointed that this film departed so much from the original Halloween and its sequel - not only is Myers not in the film, but the movie takes place in a completely different town and it isn’t even the same genre, really. Season of the Witch focuses on witchcraft and could even be categorized more as a sci-fi flick than a slasher.
